I have the newer l710, the one that has issues mounting storage in most recoveries. When I flash the newest twrp (trying to install kit Kat cm11) and I boot it up into recovery, there is a box asking for a password. I never set a password. Twrp 2.6.3.0 can mount my storage but fails on the installation of kit Kat. Help?

I'm downloading the new cwm from the 'recovery fix here' thread further down, gonna try it
EDIT: no dice. i got nothing; same error as twrp. i really want to run kitkat man...

TWRP version 2.6.3.1 does not work on newer GS3s. You'll get the password error and it won't mount storage partitions. You can install version 2.6.3.0 without any issues though.

I'm sorry it didn't work. I'm not a big CM fan, so I haven't attempted to install any of the CM roms. I've been running TWRP and flashing ROMs and various other goodies using it almost from the day I got my GS3. You might try asking on the CM11 thread how people are flashing the ROM. CWM recovery may be another option for you to try out.

Did TWRP 2.6.3.0 at least mount storage correctly and ditch the password prompt?

Yeah, it works fine for everything else, just gives me an error when I try to install cm11 kit Kat. Cm 10.2 works fine. It's just the newest cm11 is the only available kitkat Rom as far as I'm aware

I do believe some of the updated recoverys are in the works to be compatible cm11. Tomorrow I'll be looking all over the web for the updated cm11 recoverys. They should be done... Or I'll just ask shabby.
