Hi all,

i've recently installed Cyanogenmod 12.1 (Lollipop 5.1.1) on my S3 mini, installed the google apps and everything worked fine so far.

Yesterday i've performed a factory reset and the device stopped working with a TWRP Boot Loop. The TWRP Screen ist just blinking and i cannot access recovery console. I only can access download mode. So i cannot use odin for re-flashing it since i cannot clear cache etc.

I'm unsure what to do next to get it working again - is this a known problem with factory resets?
Any hints on this issue?

Thank you very much.

Best,

Klaus

It happened to me as well. Do the following:
- Shut down the device holding the power button
- connect your device with a pc/mac/whatever
- boot with POWER + VOLUME DOWN
- download cwm (clockworkmod) recovery
- boot cwm with this command: fastboot boot nameofthecwmrecovery.img
- have cwm complete the factory reset

Hi. I got the same problem. Twrp Loop. Can anyone help me please?
I flashed twrp recovery but now the same problem.
How i can boot with commands?

If you can access download mode, you can flash with Odin. You don't have to clear anything to flash a recovery or a ROM.

This is the only solution for me.
I flashed cwm over Twrp and its ok.
None of other suggestions work. Thanks mate

After entering the command: fastboot boot nameofthecwmrecovery.img my kfhd sits on the fastboot screen while the command prompt says <waiting for device>. Any ideas?

I ran into this same problem and could't find a solution that worked for me. Fastboot kept saying that it could find my device. After some research I finally got it working, so for future reference here's what I did:

1. Downloaded the (non-touch) .img clockworkmod recovery file from clockworkmod rommanager site (for Galaxy S3 Mini)

2. Ran this script (can't post links so search google for "[Script][Tool] how to create a tar.md5 file from img For Odin") to convert this into a .tar file Odin could open.

3. Used Odin with PDA to write the .tar file to the phone.

4. Restarted the phone inside clockworkmod recovery.

5. Success.

I have the same problem, but i have a bigger problem...
i can came to odin mode BUT
my USB connector at my phone is broken, so i can't flash per USB

any other way?
:'( :'( :'(

Hi Guys,
I 'm having the same issue but i still could not fix it.
Could you guys give me more details of How to run the command line or script suggested and also where can i find the file .img?
How to proceed with the following steps?
"- download cwm (clockworkmod) recovery
- boot cwm with this command: fastboot boot nameofthecwmrecovery.img
- have cwm complete the factory reset"

Kind Regards

Gcavalcanti. Imagino que você também seja BR certo?
Hoje consegui resolver problema acima. Loop no teamwin(TWRP) apos cyanogenmod 12.1. A única forma que consegui colocar aparelho em modo download foi essa. Abaixo no link

No need to enter the download mode, just leave the teamwin screen loop!

I had the same problem, here is a help

1. Download the program "Minimal ADB and Fastboot"
2. Connect your phone to your computer
3. Open the ADB and Fastboot Minimal
4. Type in cmd in the program will open: "adb reboot recovery" without quotes and enter.
5. Type in cmd in the progam will open: "adb reboot bootloader" without quotes and enter.
6. Wait, your phone will reboot and see if it worked.

I hope this helps

Same trouble here.... Cyanogenmod 12.1 + factory reset= teamwin-loop.

You can't recovery boot or download boot?

Try hardware download mode with USB Jig plug. you can buy it at amazon or ebay, or you can do it your own.

It's really simply. Believe it works!
