TYLT Watch Replacement Strap Review

Pros-
Looks great
Feels great
Quality silicone
Quality packaging
Good starting colors
Water proof, sweat proof
Tough

Cons-
Could use more colors?
Dust?
Strap came undone occasionally.

I received the TYLT watch strap for the Moto 360. I was surprised with how good the packaging looked! Good attention to detail. The strap was very easy to install, and liked that they found a way to making a "normal" looking watch strap without the cutouts needed to have a watch strap fit a Moto 360. (see my review of a watch band hack here... http://forums.androidcentral.com/moto-360/441678-moto-360-sport-edition-watch-strap-mod.html)

The strap performed admirably in everyday and outdoor conditions. I much prefer synthetic straps like this than to leather, because this is the same watch I work out in and also go out in. The strap is great for running, very similar to the strap on my wife's Garmin GPS watch. It's silicone, and while I am a bigger fan of the resin type of watch bands found on G-Shock watches, the TYLT band has made me a convert over to silicone watch straps. It's a thick, quality strap. It isn't flimsy like a cheaper silicone band that I had. The stainless steel was a great fit and looked nice. I ran in this, bathed my kids with this watch on, gotten it wet plenty of times-- you can't do that with leather. I like that about this watch strap. I can work out and run and still use the same strap to take out the wife to a dinner. I've gotten plenty of compliments about my watch.

My only complaints would be if it came out in a dark gray or other colors. There are 4 to choose from, I love the black. I would love a gray of some sort, but it's nitpicking. Sometimes dust seemed to stick to my watch strap more than a metal or leather strap, but it wasn't that big of a deal. Also, I was working a lot in a wood shop. So your mileage may vary! Not a big deal at all. Finally, my only true CON for this watch strap would be that sometimes the strap would come undone by itself. I am a musician, so I play hand drums and do some more clapping than the normal person. This would be when I noticed it. Or, if I was throwing and catching the football. Other than that, it would stay on by itself. The watch didn't fall off, just the clasp unhooked. For instance, I've gone through today without the watch strap unhooking at all. Not a deal breaker, but it is worth noting.

All in all, I would high recommend the TYLT Watch Strap for the Moto 360. It is worth the money you spend because the silicone is a high quality and the strap is well made. Definitely check this out!

ENjoy!

You can get leather wet, I've done it it actually makes it a better fit.

I know you can, but in the past, I found that leather didn't like getting continually wet and dried again. Might have been the leather. Moreover, I feel that working out in the leather would make it sweaty and smelly, and tougher to clean.

I love the tylt band. I run about 20 miles a week with it....its easy to change out bands but I keep the tylt on 95℅ of the time and it feels and looks great.

Agreed. I like that the silicone makes the removal of the watch band much easier.

I was going to order the black one from Tylt and they are out of stock. I emailed them and they said they are not getting anymore in stock. They are also out of stock on Amazon.

Really.... I wonder why? Check eBay?

I checked Amazon again this morning and it showed available June 1st so I went ahead and ordered it. I did also find that it is in stock on the Motorola site.
