Is Sprint supposed to have U11 yet in USA? I went to a Sprint corporate store to look at one and the cust serv reps never heard of it. Just Bolt.
They wouldn't look 4 me. just wanted to sell a s8
Lol the fact they didn't look and tried to push another phone tells u that there is probably an incentive on the phone they are trying to push on u... My homeboy used to work at ATT and he used to tell me that they would get incentives for selling certain phones through out the yearThey wouldn't look 4 me. just wanted to sell a s8

It's not just those phones but it is them the majority of the time... Almost all the brands do it that the stores sellYup.. pretty much.
You can go into any carrier store and they either push the Galaxy or the iPhone.
Mac
It gets tiring hearing people rip on Samsung. The large majority aren't even close to objective estimations.
I have been an HTC fan almost all my life, I've owned more HTC phones than most fanboys on here (5). I never liked the galaxy phones as I often thought they were loaded with some silly features. But the s8 is different, it's a completely different animal. The Super AMOLED 570ppi display (craziest aspect ratio I've ever seen) while being smaller than most phones by itself separates from the pack. Beveled sides makes it easy to use and looks gorgeous. This really isn't a small thing, you'll be looking at the screen and handling the phone 99% of your phones usage.
The s8 has a fantastic camera and whether or not it's #1 or 3 I really don't see why it would matter to anyone but HTC and Pixel fans as that's really what you got.
The HTC U11 is a great phone. Not a fan of the colours, lack of headset jack and plane build. Nothing really pops out in the hardware except for the camera and speakers. That's what HTC has. And the S8 has clearly (as indicated from this thread and countless videos) very similar camera quality.
So.. Are you going to buy the phone based on its speakers? I know it's squeeze technology isn't worth the 700$ price tag. Let's be objective for a second. The U11 is a top three contender but the difference between second and first is massive.

I think you're being disingenuous. If you really think the U11 is a great phone, that's awesome. It is. But to say that Samsung doesn't have any stand out features, well..I think you lose credibility.
The U11 has nowhere near the screen quality of the S8. You have more screen pixels packed into a smaller phone. Show me a phone that's closer to 600ppi than the s8. You talk about the mate 9? That has a dismal 370ppi for a fairly wide phone.. The majority of the S8s phone is a screen, we haven't seen anything like this on the phone market. Beveled super AMOLED 570ppi that covers the entire phone. A longer skinny phone makes sense in the hand. I can hit every part of the phone with one hand, can't do that with the U11. Something tells me that U11s design is going to change for next year's model and HTC fans are going to divert their attention to something else to rip the S8 on.
Bixby is a great app, I use it all the time. The voice is not yet ready but I expect big things when it is, same as I expect at least better things with Edge Sense.
I have an Audio Technica m50x headset. If I bought the U11 it would be junk. Utterly stupid move by HTC on this part and honestly much worse than a button on the side for a developing assistant app.
The U11 is not way faster, it's about 1/10 second faster. But hey man if you like your U11 that's great, HTC is a great company. But there is a reason that in a lot of articles about these phones, S8 is used as the comparison benchmark. And no, it really isn't because of lemmings.
Honestly though, it is a material item. Who cares. Buy what fits your wallet and lifestyle.
