I was getting out of my truck today and had the last bit of my Dr pepper in hand. I dropped sometbing and went to pic it up . When I did, a small amount of dr pepper got in the charging port and I've since had rhe moisture in port earning.

I've tried cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol as suggested by searching on Google, and put it up against a fan. It says in the mean time I can use a wireless charger.

My question is, if the wired charge port is ultimately screwed from that, will it fry the motherboard eventually? I tended to it as quick as I could.

I don't mind having to buy a wireless charger if I have to, I just hope that drop of soda getting in the charge port doesn't short my board out.

Nevermind. The isopropyl alcohol+setting in front of a fan DID work. Moisture in port notification went away and it is now taking charge as normal.

Still thinking a wireless charing stand would still be a worthy investment.

Glad everything ok now , yeah i charge both wirelessly and cable whichever available at the time .

I don't know who told you to do that, but isopropyl alcohol can damage your phone's waterproof seal. The phone's user manual says to rinse with nothing but plain fresh water to remove contamination by other liquids.
