UK N8'ers

I put in my Dex claim today and got the automatic reply that I'll hear from them within 30 days

That's the same I got except mine says 30 not 3 days, maybe it's because I'm in Ireland

I didn’t get an email only a text saying I’d here back in 2 days. I submitted it Monday. I’ve not heard anything yet.

Yeah I submitted my claim nearly a week ago and nothing, only confirmation email, you can check on your confirmation email for the claim number, go to this website..https://2017-08.samsungpromotions.claims/gb/en/pages/note8dex/contact
scroll to the bottom and put your claim number in the box provided and if anything changes it will show.

Fingers crossed we will get at least the dex since we got nothing else like sd card, camera...as the americans do, very near 1k Euro was a bit steep but I do like this thing regardless, just something to soften the blow a bit

Looking at the T&C's it looks like you technically can't claim until 30 days after you have received your Note 8, probably to avoid people claiming and then sending the phone back and keeping the DEX

Hi everyone

I've got a question I hope someone can answer.
I bought a dual SIM version direct from Samsung. So far loving the phone after switching from iPhone.
My SIM is from EE but I don't have the Wi-Fi calling option. Is there anything I can do as o really need this feature as I live in area with little or no mobile signal.
I've read some of the topics 're flashing EE firmware but they don't do one for dual SIM models.
Thanks in advance.

Is it not possible to flash just the wifi call bit from the ee software?
Maybe throw up the question on xda dev forum

Just a quick update on this issue.
I initially believed that I originally has the option to turn on Wi-Fi calling but it was no longer there.
I then thought if I had changed anything. The only thing I remembered was putting a microSD card into second SIM slot with loads of music on it.
So I've just removed the SIM and rebooted without the sd card and once again the Wi-Fi calling option appeared. I then reinserted the sd card and thankfully the Wi-Fi calling option is so far still there.
Obviously a glitch somewhere. I'll keep an eye on it and report back.

You only need to flash the EE software to get VoLTE.
Its a major requirement of mine or I would have left it running BTU.
As EE do not sell the dual sim varient ( why not god only knows) there is no official firmware for it. There are guides on XDA showing how to use the single sim version though.

If you want a nice case but don't want to stump up 50 quid for one, I walked into O2 today (in Stafford) and they discounted the s view stand case from 50 quid to 37 without me even asking.
Worth trying if you are in O2 and fancy a nice case.
