Called the Carphone Warehouse yesterday before this announcement and said I wanted to return it but they said I was outside of my 14 day window for a refund. Not sure what is going to happen now. No doubt be fobbed off and say nothing is happening until the investigation is complete.

Anyone have any news or tried to contact their provider? I bought mine SIM free.

Note 7 (UK Users)

Is there anyone on these forums in the UK with a note7? I've just rang my network o2 and explained that Samsung has issued another statement regarding the battery issue, the CS rep said they haven't been told much by Samsung and that I'm just to hold it out and power my device down until they are notified by Samsung that I can receive a new note7, they did offer me to temporarily swap it for a S7 or cancel my contract. Share your stories. This is one big mess

Re: Note 7 (UK Users)

Hi, so you still have the original Note 7, not the replacement? I would pop into an O2 store and speak to someone, their over the phone customer service is rubbish!

You won't be able to get a replacement anyways, it'll need to be a new device or terminate the contract.

I'm with Vodafone (UK) I had the choice of the Note 7 or Pixel XL - glad I chose the latter.

Re: Anyone in the UK tried to return theirs?

Speak to them in a couple of days - let the dust settle and then see what they say. My sister in-law works for Carphone Warehouse and she told me this morning they will be accepting returns shortly (she couldn't give me more info)

Re: Note 7 (UK Users)

Hi, I'm on my second note7 they exchanged my device before the official UK exchange date, I have the green icon to verify its a 'safe' unit, I was hoping they would let me swap earlier to the oneplus3 but was told only a temporary s7 is available to me, I don't want a temporary phone or to cancel my contract

Re: Note 7 (UK Users)

And did you arrange for the swap today? Or was that when the first recall was announced? o2 are canny **** tbh

Re: Anyone in the UK tried to return theirs?

Went in today and they offered me refund straight away. Got a silver s7 edge and the rest back in cash.

Please with the service to be honest.

How much did you get back? I paid £99 upfront for the phone and I'm on a £45 contract with EE (through Carphone Warehouse). Surely I should get the upfront cost back plus the difference in the price of the phone? I don't want to end my contract as I can't see monthly prices that cheap for phones such as the iPhone 7 plus etc.

I paid £52 up front direct through samsung on the high street. On £47 through vodaphone. I have newer note 7. My account it said full refunds and contact etc or replaced with similar phone

I'm going to hang on to my note 7 until they force update or block phone, restrit charging etc. I've had no issues with phone or the original I had. But feel I wilk be backed into a corner at some point to exchange. Samsung on high street will refund fully either contract or even if paid in full for handset. And refund on any accessories bought for note 7

I got mine from CPW simply free, I've ordered a pixel which will get next week and then when all details swapped I'll take it back for a full refund

I am on my second Note 7 with CPW simfree.

Currently on the phone to see whether I can get the £50 that other customers have successfully got.

First line lady has said it's for contract only people. I'm currently on hold.
