UK Unlocked Active, how do I update firmware to latest version?

I have the SM-G890A.

I'd like the latest possible android firmware.

I've been trying to Sideload via ADB to Marshmallow 6.0.1 (G890AUCU3CPE7) but it isn't working. My phone is currently G890AUCU3BOJE.

I'm no good with this stuff, please help.

If you can't find Marshmallow on SamMobile Firmwares, wait for someone to post an update on the AT&T S6 Active forum on XDA Forums. (Sideloading a ROM could brick your phone if you don't know what you're doing.)

Welcome to Android Central! Have you also tried using Samsung Smart Switch to manually check for the latest update?

Officially 6.0 hasn't been released to the S6 active. Check the thread about "I'm leaving if 6.0 isn't out this month" I think there is some info there about loading the unofficial in testing 6.0 release.

I sideloaded my S6A from G890AUCU3BOJE to G890AUCU4CPF1 (6.0.1) the other day. Let me know if you still need to do it and I can dig out the XDA link with the info. I'm not an IT ninja; it was fairly simple.

My build ends with 4CPH3 and I'm on 6.0.1 do you know what the difference is?

From the first line of this post

your build number appear to be the latest version, with 6.0.1.

However, the AT&T page linked within the post (i.e. https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...ml%23%21%2Fwireless%2FKB426851&token=kEvGzqdc) doesn't list the build ending "4CPH3". (Btw, that XDA post was my source of info for sideloading my S6A.)

With the release of the S7 Active I don't know if you'll be able to find a firmware package to upgrade the S6 Active to Nougat 7.0.
