Ultra mobile to mint

Does anyone know if you are a current Ultra mobile user can you get this deal as a new customer? Does it even matter? Also, I keep reading horror stories about number porting has this gotten any better? When I ported my number from AT&T to ultra the process was smooth and took maybe an hour.

I just ported from Red Pocket to Mint Sim and it was relatively painless. It took the entire day, but that was mainly due to RP not releasing my number (for whatever reason). I got on RP web chat support and got it released after receiving a notice from Mint that my port had failed. My port occurred within the hour afterward.

Pretty impressed so far with Mint Sim. The coverage is good here in Houston and the speeds are fine. No issues, happy customer.
