I can do this over Bluetooth in my car , Metallica justice for all day long in my car. Then I try to stream to Chrome Cast it will say side loading = the end of the world. Seriously wtf I bought this album 20 years ago. damn time marches on

It is a DRM issue, google music won't cast music unless it ?Knows" it to be identical to the music in the cloud. The only way google music knows this is if the music is pinned to the device via the app. Side loaded music won't play.

Others have found mixed levels of success by moving side loaded music to SD cards the removing/unmounting them.
