Un-Freaking-Believable!

Not only has my phone not shipped - it hasn't even been ORDERED!! NOW I'm livid. The lady I finally got said the order the other folks have been referencing when I called was actually an order for the replacement (for the store) of my daughters Envy Touch!

I can order one now and have it by 9/7.

Called Best Buy and Target so far... NO Droid X.

Just order it today via online ordering. I bet you'll have it Friday or Monday, despite what the ship by date says. Most people are getting them in 5 to 7 days. I would stay away from other sellers. Can't count the number of post I've read over the years about somebody buying a phone from this or that place, then needing to replace it and having a hard time. This phone is well worth getting!

NOBODY has this phone. I've called every Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Office Depot w/in 50 miles. Amazon.com, Wirefly... nobody.

I guess I'll attempt to order again and just wait... forever.
FWIW - Walmart gets phones AFTER backorders are filled according to the guy I talked to at our Super Walmart.

I can't believe how much trouble people are having getting this phone. I pre-ordered mine at Best Buy on a whim really. I wasn't even considering a new phone until a day before the pre-order started.

I didn't notice Best Buy did something weird with the price. I paid $200 for the phone but tax was almost $50. I think they charged tax on the full retail price. Is that normal?

Yeah it's normal they charge you tax for the full retail price

That REALLY sucks dude! I would most definitely be verbally assaulting them on the phone AND online!

I couldn't really take it out on the girl who told the truth... she was very helpful and even called all the local outlets for me. The one's I'm mad at are the idiots that couldn't read the first three times I called.

Besides, I've learned that if I approach them in a calm manner, they will usually bend over backwards to help. Unfortunately, there isn't anything they can do since there is no stock anywhere.

if you live in CA, that's what i've been hearing...tax is on the full price

Like others said I think you will get it before 9/7 tho. Yeah you shouldn't screamed at her, so thats true . She is the only one who told you what was really going on otherwise you still wouldn't know it had not been ordered still.

No X's or DINCS for 100 miles.
