Unable to locate zip files on SD card

Hey Guys,

I am trying to root my cousins evo 4g which is on 2.3.3.
We found a way to do with the revolutionary tool and we were able to get the phone to atleast be S-OFF
The problem is when we try to push the super user zip file from recovery, it doesn't show that its on his SD card, but it is when we mount it to windows.

Has anyone come across this? Any input is helpful!

Have you tried using a file browser on the phone to see if it's there when not connected to the PC? Also make sure the su zip is on the root of the SD card before flashing. Make sure to wipe cache and dalvik cache before hand as well.
