Unable to root on Samsung J7 Marshmallow 6.0.1

Hi guys, I can't root on my J7. I tried kingroot and kingo root, not working, anyonr has a solution?

Who was the supplier for your device? ATT? I'm a real newb on this stuff but from what I've gotten by googling is that some mfgs have made their bootloader much more difficult to root. Maybe impossible. I have an unlocked Samsung S5 from ATT that seems to be this way as well.
