unable to see sms from other galaxy s7 users in mysms application

i am using mysms to remotely sms on my pc, however whenever i receive a message from another galaxy s7 phone i am only able to view the message on my phone, not on my pc. I dont not have any private messaging enabled, however whenever i message another galaxy 7 user i can see when they are typing and if they read my message. i turned off my read receipts and and the portion where you can see i'm typing but its still the same issue. My thoughts is its similar to iMessaging, but i cant figure out how to disable it.
