Unable to sign in to account message everytime I log into my gmail account

[Android Central Question]

Every time I log into my gmail account I get above warning about not able to sign into account, Enter your password for the account. when I try it takes me to another screen sing in-google accounts, it says choose an account to continue to Samsung Email. I do not want Samsung email, I want to keep my gmail account. I have not received any emails for my gmail account since 6/2 @ 2:48 pm. Can someone help me?

Perhaps it means that you have to set up something, in your case Gmail, as an email account on your Samsung phone.

Google had some server problems on the 2nd and 3rd - they're fixed.

Welcome to Android Central! Which Samsung phone do you have, and where are you trying to log into your Gmail account? Are you opening the Gmail app, or the stock Email app from Samsung?

I had same annoying problem. Only way I found to resolve it was to delete the account in my email app and then start over by creating a new account. So I deleted my gmail account in the email app, the recreated it. This worked fine and got rid of the Samsung email request issue. Hope this helps.
