Unable to turn 4G off

The Inspire is my first Android phone and I haven't had any problems until today. I normally keep my 4g turned off. For some unknown reason today, it seemed to turn itself on and wouldn't let me turn it off. I had to do a hard reset to get the phone to work properly.

Has anybody had a similar problem? If so, do you know a better solution?

Probably the best way to turn data off is to go to menu, settings, wireless & networks, and uncheck "mobile networks" box. This way it won't try to connect to data when off of wifi.

There is no 4G yet. its just running enhanced version of 3g

Yeah that is why i was curious on how ACD3814A said they were able to turn it off and on. There is no way to even turn off the enhanced 3g is there?

I have a Widget on my home screen that can turn off Data. I believe it is a standard widget. Usually I have it off to save data/power.

There is a way to turn off H+/3G. Search XDA for the star codes and instructions or just run the network app from marketplace...
