I am using a LG Nexus 5X phone which is running Android 8.1.0 (Oreo). However, when I make a call (using the standard phone app from Android), I'm now unable to use the keypad to input numbers (i.e. in response to "Press 1 for the pharmacist").
The keypad icon appears automatically highlighted during my calls to my voicemail, though it doesn't automatically appear highlighted during my calls to other people.
Regardless, when I click on the keypad icon to select it (or unselect it and then reselect it during calls to my voicemail), the keypad numbers do not appear and I'm unable to input a number.
I've attempted to reboot my phone and even uninstall the latest apps that I installed on it, but without any success. Has anyone seen this behavior and is there anything you can recommend short of resetting my phone to an older OS version or to factory settings?
