Depends what functions? If they are basic AOSP (pure android) functions they should be fine, I doubt any HTC specific stuff will work though

You don't have any HTC software because you don't have a HTC

As I said, look on XDA, maybe by searching using your SOC code to find any ROMs available. I don't think your phone would be hard to root at all

Can you boot into the bootloader and in fastboot mode and with a cmd prompt type this and post it "fastboot oem getvar all"

Fastboot is Not in Settings, you power off and then Hold Power and Volume Down until a white screen appears, The option for fast boot is there, Using your up or down volume to navigate select fastboot, then plug in your device

To enable or disable fastboot is in settings. He doesn't have it because he has a knock off chinese model M8
