Unexplained System/Battery Usaage

Several days ago, with no changes to apps or system, I noticed my battery capacity dropping precipitously. Phone was hot, charged slower.

Rebooted a few times, Changed to Pixel launcher from Nova. Same behavior.

Accubattery, Gsam and stock battery indicator didn't reflect anything.

And then..... all returned to normal. Any ideas as to what might have caused this?

How long did it last for? There was recently a Google Play system update (separate from the monthly security update) -- maybe the phone was busy downloading and installing it at the time?

103% - I got a replacement phone in June on the extended warranty. (my original took a very deep dive...)

I've actually had that problem twice I believe over the last 3 years with my pixel... B is right on the money, both times it was a Google play system update. I thought "uh oh", but after a restart or 2 it went away completely. I wouldn't worry unless it becomes a continuous problem

I had the same issue as you after the October update on my P3. Did some digging around and found it might be related to TuneIn. Deleted it and it all went back to normal.
