It has been doing this to me since the night before last night, (Saturday 14th). I've turned my phone off and back on and also took out my battery and even Sim card or SD card. I don't know what else to do. Help me??

Thank you!!! The other advice in this forum didn't work for me, but the app preferences did the trick. Two days of having no use of my phone, I'm so relieved!!

This isn't a fix but see if your phone has another keyboard: settings -> Language & input -> Select "Android Keyboard (AOSP)" (OR if the android keyboard isn't working select your brands keyboard to use this working one). Now we have to change the default settings so select "Default" and select the working keyboard.

I have a ZTE and after clearing out my cache my keyboard still didn't work. Go to apps and at bottom left click setting then click reset app preference and this worked to get my keyboard working

Hey, I tried everything that was suggested above but nothing worked. Not even one. The problem is still ongoing and I still cannot use my keyboard. My tablet is AOC Breeze MW0733 and this is rooted. Please help...
