I have the same issue on my t mobile note 3, it can work fine for hours then the apps will stop with the same message and on top of that it freezes and kind of reboots without any boot sound then leaves me on the lockscreen. Tried doing factory reset and stock flash with odin and nothing. Sent it to samsung twice and they said no issue was found, i guess they don't use it long enough for the symptoms to show.
Any ideas of what to do next?

Android 4.4 seemed to fix this, either wait for the update on your Note III or root and install a 4.4 ROM.

Yes I guess that's the next thing to do, thanks.
Can't seem to find 4.4 roms based on touchwiz, I really don't want to leave the pen useless, but is either that or a useless phone.
Thanks again.

Well installing kitkat roms didn't fix my note 3, issues still persist no matter what rom I install, it must be a faulty phone that samsung technicians are too dumb to understand. Now my knox is tripped and basically have a very expensive paper weight lol. Last time I buy a phone from craigslist I swear.
Anyway if anyone has any idea what whis might be I would appreciate the help. The issues are the same as this thread plus random freezes with weird reboots.

I charge with a standard charger every night. I used to get this message once a week, now every morning I have to power down and power back up. The last couple of days it happens in the middle of the day. "Messaging has stopped working" "Gmail has stopped working" "Google has stopped working" "Maps has stopped working" Wth?

I've an identical problem with my Nexus 5, ended up here while searching for salvation. First it was just a free apps but it and to be spreading!
I don't wireless charge so that's not it, it must be a 3 rd party app. If I find anything I'll let you folks know.

1. Turn the phone on.
2. Long-press the power button until the menu appears.
3. Long-press the "Power off" option until you see the following image.
4. Press OK to reboot in safe mode.

If the problem no longer exists, then it is caused by a third-party (that is, non-OS) app.

Do I also occasionally get a message unfortunately outlook stopped working also?

I had the same problem. But at the same time multiple other apps also stopped working so that made me think the problem was something else rather than the outlook app.I even updated the outlook app as well as all the other apps that weren't working but none of then would work.I then noticed that there was 2 copies of the outlook app. The original old one and the newer one that I installed (during my attemps to fix all the apps that stopped working).*I then deleted to old outlook app. Suddenly low and behold all the apps srarted working again and the outlook error message dissappear. Woot! This was my solution. Give it a try

if u have access to settings go to app manager all apps and press menu key and select reset app preference
if u don't have access to settings then boot into recovery mode and clear cache partition that's it :)

in case if u dont know how to boot nexus device in recovery:-$

Press and hold the Volume Down and Volume Up buttons, and then press and hold the Power button at the same time until the phone turns on. You'll see the word "Start" with an arrow around it. Press the Volume Down button twice to highlight "Recovery." Press the Power button to restart into Recovery mode.:)

all of them are useless.

Welcome to Android Central! You posted in a really old thread about a really old phone (Nexus 4), which I'm guessing isn't the one you have. You may be better off creating a new thread with your question, and make sure to include the device name.
