Unfortunately, HTC service pack has stopped. How can I fix it?

Every time i go to refresh the weather widget i get this error. I tried uninstalling the service pack, re-installing the service pack, rebooting, all the normal ways to fix wont work. What else can i do?

Same thing happened to me today, and I fixed it by going to the google play store. there was an update for the weather widget. Updated it, and all good again. Hope this works for you.

Hi Guys, I found a fix for this issue.
Go to Google Play store from your HTC M8-->Type "HTC apps" and do a search for it (then you can see a list of all the htc apps which are already installed and yet to be installed)---> Scroll down and find out an app named "HTC Sevice Pack" which is already installed in your phone. our Villain... Tap on that, you can see an option to uninstall this app.... Just Do IT... thats all.
Please let me know the status if it works for you too...
