Uninstalled the dialer app

I thought that the dialer app was a third party one I didn't want, so I uninstalled it in settings. Whoops -- that's the stock dialer app.

How do I get it back?

Have a look in settings, application manager then scroll to disabled

I installed another dialer from GP. It's not worth factory resetting the phone at this point.

From App Manager. I was also surprised I was able to uninstall it.

what name is it listed under app manager?

so far, i have found "phone", but i don't have the ability to uninstall...just to do a "force stop"

Okay, I found the Phone app, and looks like the stock app is working. So I don't know why the shortcut stopped working after I uninstalled the dialer app nor do I know what it was. It was called KitKat Dialer, I think.

Anyway, it's all fixed now. Thanks for you time!
