Hi,

Since the last few days a strange Caller ID Spam software has suddenly popped on on my phone. It is not present in the apps hence I am unable to uninstall it.

Anyway I can get rid of this without formatting the phone?Screenshot_20170901-174522.jpg

Welcome to Android Central. I'd say it is an app, adware most likely that may have come with something else that you installed. If you long press on that screen it may tell you which app is generating it. There is no need to reset (you can't format an android phone) the phone. Go to Settings, Apps and start looking for something unrecognized.

it might be generated by another package, most unwanted apps do that.
so I recommend checking all packages installed on the phone one by one.

I am having the same problem, but with a different device (Note 8). Any other idea of what it could be as I don't have this app? I was originally thinking it was the premium Caller ID app bloatware from Sprint (which on the Note 8 can't be deleted). But I'm hoping it is something else so that I can get rid of this ANNOYANCE.

I had this exact same problem. I found the app that was causing it. It was an app called viva video. I Uninstalled it and the maleware is gone. There are other apps it could be hiding in. Check your apps and do not download any apps that start with QU or DU. I hope this helps.

I have found the solution for it . It's thanks to vault app . Just go to vault settings and turn off call reminder .....

Thanks.. :)
