If you can get the best buy folks to sell for full price without Verizon contract yes you can use with Fi. For Verizon apps remove the Verizon sim before you do first boot, the Verizon apps get downloaded when it detects a Verizon sim.I was under the assumption that I would have to use Verizon service if bought thru Best Buy. Did it come with the Verizon pre-loaded apps? Could I potentially use it with Google Fi?
Thanks.
What's the price break on vzw?I have 2 XL's from best buy, both running on T-mobile.
They are unlocked and work great.
Best buy will sell them all day everyday and twice on Sunday.
But.... You do not get any price break unless you use it on Verizon.
But T-mo was(they may still be) running an offer. . 350 credit per phone. Gave it in one lump credit of 700 bucks.
VERY HAPPY.
ps: also getting all updates without issues
Didn't think about going in store. when I saw you couldn't online I Said forget it

Only reason I would get at BB is if they were cheaper and/or they were offering some type of deal. Want it unlocked for the Project Fi capability. Would like to see it in stock on Google Store though. On contract with Verizon until mid-January.
Update...Best Buy finally had a deal on pixels. Re-up with Verizon for 2 years, pixel is $10/month, XL is $15/month. Plus $100 BB gift card for each. Found a store that had an XL in stock for me and regular for my wife. So far, so good. Except the obnoxiously harsh vibration intensity for the keyboard and notifications that can only be turned off, not decreased.
