Unlocked S22 Ultra not allowed to install Verizon apps?

I usually use TrueCaller and Verizon's spam app (Call Filter) to keep out unwanted calls throughout the day. When I try to install Verizon's Call Filter app, it just sits there on "Checking account status.....please wait." I've tried clearing cache on it but it doesn't change anything. Does anyone else have this problem?

Using Verizon Sim card and old phone was Note 10+ Verizon version.

I don't know, but I'm using the call blocking and caller ID that Samsung includes, rather than Verizon app.

I too am using Samsung's offerings for these things because if I remember correctly Verizon charges for these features. Having said that, where and how? Where are you trying to download the app from and how are you trying to install it? Well one more kind of important question, are you still a Verizon customer?

Verizon isn't going to deny themselves money so I don't see any reason that they wouldn't allow you to download their app onto an unlocked device. Similarly Samsung has sold you a device to use at the carrier of your choice and therefore would not prevent you from installing the carrier's app offerings. The only reason I can think of that would prevent you from using these apps would be if you changed carriers, and Verizon could no longer bill you for their use. We're going to need a bit more information to properly help you.

The only app I downloaded from Verizon that works is the My Verizon app on my unlocked S22+. That's all I need.

I use the ones from Samsung on my Note 10+... I'll be using it on the new phone as well
