Unlocking Nand

How goes it people, I'm new to posting here, but have been rummaging around in the threads of AC, XDA, and a few other forums for a while now. I've had my EVO since September, and just recently rooted it (revolutionary.io method) because the stock 2.3.3 update was such a nightmare.

So getting to the crux of the issue; I tried flashing the latest Sprint Lover's Rom over the weekend and ran into a problem where a message came up while I was in RA recovery saying, "update script not found" and it stalled out there. I was able to restore a backup and everything's fine. Although, while I've been searching around I ran in to this thread/post on PPCGeeks mentioning that this particular error may be because the Nand is still locked. ([ROM] 08/03/11 | SPRINT LOVERS | 2.3.3 | 4.24.651.1 | Radio/Wimax/PRI All-In-One [Archive] - Page 2 - PPCGeeks) Several of the posters also mention something referred to Toast's method to root and unlock. I guess what I'm wondering is, would anyone know if that method and/or the files related to that method are still current to unlock nand? Any responses are very much appreciated.

P.S. I checked out the revolutionary.io site (the wiki to be exact) and noticed that they don't list the EVO 4g under the "permanently unlocked Nandroid" list.

As long as you have s-off which you have if you used the revolutionary tool and a custom recovery. Only thing that would keep you from flashing a rom on your phone is if had s-on.

Sounds like you have a successful root. Turn you phone off. Press both the power button and volume buttons at the same time. Choose the nandroid option and perform. Let us know how it goq.

Will do. I did some more looking around and also noticed that I may need to wipe the dalvik cache twice so that might have been the hang up as well. I'll give it another shot tonight.
