I know the new release of Skyke for HTC Thunderbolt is not a official, but post your issues and problems here!

The only problem/issue I've noticed is while logged into Skype, I get a very faint (cant see it unless you are in a dark room) red notification light to the right of the charging/notification light. It goes away as soon as I force close, or sign out of my Skype account.

Anyone else encounter this issue, or have others? Discuss here!

I haven't gotten that one but like I posted before, my daughter and I used it and we were upside down on the screens (both of us). So I saw her upside down on my phone and she saw me upside down on hers.

Ditto. And I see the red light as well.

I placed 3 video calls last night all from my tbolt, to pc. No problems, except the red light lmao.

No video on calls from TB to Mac

Tested out the Skype app last night, and when trying to make video calls to a Macbook there was no video. Totally bummed me out!

Wife and I used it again while she was running errands. Dropped the call twice, froze 3 times. When it's working, the sound and video quality is not bad. Wife still has to flip her phone upside down in order to see me correctly. Hope the official release will have this fixed.

I also experienced some freezing and a couple drops. I was on wifi the other person was on 4g.

Outside of that it's worked really well.

little red light is the proximity sensor. had this problem to after i closed the app. if you see the red led put ut finger near it u will see ur screen go off then move it away and it will come back on. a restart will fix it.

shamdog someone mentioned via here or over Doid-Life about upgrading Skype for Mac and helped in their situation. Just a thought if have the ability to upgrade.

Which skype app are we talking about? I got my bolt yesteday and it did NOT come with Skype installed. Noticed there is a skype mobile, skype, or skype mobile on verizon? Thanks

There's a leaked version exclusively for the ThunderBolt. Check the Android Central front page or droid-life.com for the download links.

Call initiater can have speaker. Other party no matter the setting, only gets sound out of the earpiece.

Restart doesn't fix it, it come back after Skype signs back in.... And its not just while in a Skype call, its on all the time while signed in. I put my finger over the light and my screen did not turn off.

Last night my wife and I charged our Tbolts, I closed Skype but I didn't sign out (S was showing on the tool bar) and my wife completely signed out (no S on tool bar) and left it overnight. This morning I had 15% battery life left and my wife had 96% battery life. Our phones have the same exact settings and apps so, it seems with us Skype is a battery killer.

i have used it a few times TB to TB and TB to computer and havent had any issues yet. would be nice if you could use the device in portrait mode and have both screens turn correctly. hopefully this is something that will be fixed int he official release or an update soon after.
