I love you for bringing this to my attention. after updating my incredible I became interested in rooting only to find that there was no hope, but now there is

Once this hits, I definitely want to root. I have no idea how it goes though...I did a bunch of research, but did not understand. Anyone have a video or a suggestion...One question....is unrevoked a custom rom?

No need to be sorry. Once Unrevoked is released they will have instructions on how to use the tool to root your phone. And Unrevoked isn't a custom Rom but a tool to easily root your phone. Then when your rooted you will be able to flash Roms and much more. Looks like I'm going to be ROOTING now due to the November OTA "Update" that destroyed the Multimedia functionality of the Incredible.
It appears the Rooting is the only solution...

Hats off to the Unrevoked team, they are far more "with the program" than the IDIOTS at VZW !!
