Ive had my phone rooted for about a week now... In short.. every custom ROM i get has it's own problems... Force closes every time i do specific things..

For example with the "Truly Epic" ROM..
-every time i end a call i have to force close on some error box..
-It's constantly saying I'm data roaming no matter where i am which is crazy
-Indescribable, awful problems when im charging it through the usb port on 2 laptops, desktop is fine
-Sometimes swype lags horrible
etc.etc

and sadly this is probably my favorite ROM ive come across.. the rest seemed to have similar or their own problems all together...

I think im gonna flash my phone back to stock right about now..... I see more downsides and hassle involved with rooting than the stock build in general... These 500$ phones are supposed to make life easy... not full of force closing and other ridiculous bugs...

Maybe I'm doing something wrong....?..

are you restoring any data afterwards? which modem are you using? are your apn settings screwy?

Rooting my Epic has been the best phone experince I ever had. I had a boring Epic before I rooted it. My phone is almost as fast as Nexsus S thanks to EXt4 files. I will keep my phone for a while. I will not take my phone back to stock for nothing. Be sure to wipe your phone three times before loading a new custom rom like Rag told you. I had the same problem in some point. I thought it was the way I was flashing a rom, but it was the phone itself. I took it back stock rom and took it to the Sprint Store. They ordered a new one for me. After that everything has been great!!!

I'm with you Tomy2001. I will not go back to stock for nothing. This thing works so perfect, I can't find anything to complain about. Other people are shocked to learn that I don't have any issues with it.
