> Unstable Wi-fi connection

It's exactly the same, only with the added annoyance of 30 minutes' worth of "Failed to obtain IP address"

Most routers I've used start their DHCP range at 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.0.2. See what happens if you change the lower boundary to that address.

Sorry, this is a headscratcher.:-\ Is there any kind of "wi-fi manager" app installed on the phone?

This is a bit of a copout, but maybe the next step is to replace your router.:-\

oh man :-\

i guess i'll live with it for a while longer......

thanks for your time and input!
