Unsupported Device alert .. Kies doesn't recognize my GALAXY S2

" Unsupported Device alert .. this device is not supported by Kies 2.0 . make sure that your device is supported and try again "
i had this message every time i try to use kies .. i ensured that i have the suitable version of Kies for my GT-I9100 phone .. i got it from SAMSUNG site ..
i need kies so i can update the android version to Jelly bean

help me please

i installed a root checker app. , the result is that my phone is not rooted ''does not have root access'' ... what to do ..?

i would make sure you are using the correct cable. uninstall and reinstall kies. try again
