Update 10/6: Verizon and Samsung HAVE reached an agreement on Samsung Pay use

I guess the future is not here yet as far as Verizon is concerned. So again Verizon has screwed us out of Samsung freebies. What else can we expect from the most arrogant company on the face of the earth.

Being a cynical SOB I would bet the "future update" will be Marshmallow sometime next year if ever.

This is because I submitted my online FCC complaint a few days ago. While many others may have submitted the same complaint, it was mine that was the tipping point. I know it. You're welcome internet.

I filed a claim with the FCC and didn't get a Note 5. But I did get a call to verify the last 4 digits of my tax ID number and my email address. The caller then said thank you and tried to end the call and I was like "wait, really, that's it"? I demanded they tell me something. They said it's coming to my phone because I have a Note 5. I then said "tell me something I don't know from reading Android Central on the Internet" and Verizon's 18 year old unpaid freshman intern caller told me he had no other information. So I asked him if he was hired solely to call back FCC complainants and he fed me the part of the script that says the next step is for Verizon to respond to the FCC. I said thank you and hung up. What. A. Joke.

I received 2 similar calls. One on 9/25 where I was informed that some one would call me on Monday 9/28. Good thing I did not hold my breath as no one called that day. The second call was on Tuesday 9/29 and was told of certain a written response to the FCC was done in would get a copy. No email or letter yet. So I filed another complaint to the FCC today stating the above.

We have to remember that it takes less time to build a bridge with toothpicks across the Grand Canyon than for Verizon to get an update out the door.

My son, who has an S6 Edge, received an update, but still hasn't found Samsung Pay in the Play Store.... getting closer, though...

The s6 and s6 edge updates are live. The note 5 and s6 edge plus aren't yet. Once the update is complete. Then Samsung pay has to be available in the play store. Once that's all complete. The VZW clue to will be good to go ... that's how I understand it. The S6 in my house has gotten the update. Waiting on the other 2 in the house. Note 5 and S6 edge plus

Verizon and SamsungPay on my Note5

So, I read yesterday that Verizon was pushing an update out to make the latest galaxy devices eligible to use Samsung Pay, my wife got the update on her S6 Edge but nothing on my Note 5, so I checked again today and still no update, just out of curiosity I went to the play store and searched for Samsung pay, nothing came up immediately so I was just scrolling down and boom! There was Samsung Pay! I'm like is this official? I checked and read reviews and decided what the heck, and I now have the Official Samsung Pay app with BOA, verified and now I need to go test it out! I'll update you as soon as I do.

Samsung pay is in the Google play store, it was updated today and I have it on my Verizon Note 5

Thanks. I just found it in the Play Store too. I installed it but it says I need VZW latest security update. I received an error when trying to installed. It says to try again later. Perhaps I need to wait until I receive a software update from VZW?

Samsung pay is not in my Google Play Store, just wallet and Android Pay. :'(

Never mind, I do see it way down at the bottom of the list. Let's see if it will install.
