UPDATE #2: ok so after I uninstalled the Sprint corp 4G app/widget and everything was working great I decide to reinstall it again to see if the issue came again....
After reinstalling it everything was good!!!!
Looks like there's a problem installing it, and MAYBE that's why not everybody is having the problem.

I nuked the Sprint Corp 4G app thing and now the GPS widget functions again. I didn't bother backing up the Corp widget since I'm pretty sure it would never ever ever have been used.
You may want to update the original post with that since right now it just looks like the fix is to use the power widget work around.

Yeah, who would have guessed a stupid Corp 4G widget would interfere with a GPS widget. I still wonder what kind of oddities caused that.

Since I woke up this morning I've had no 4G at home where I've always had it. Put the New Sprint/Corp widget back on my screen and now it actually does something, though nothing useful.

It will only do something when 4G is on. Clicking it switches it to Corp and back to Sprint if you tap it again. Neither of these are letting me connect to 4G. Maybe the widget did this before, but I did not notice it. Whenever I turn off 4G it defaults the widget to Sprint.

Has anyone had 4G go down where they usually had it before for most of the day?

Do you mean the corp 4G widget? Because once you install AppMonster look for an app that has the Sprint logo and the name is "Settings - Sprint Corp 4G", then press to uninstall.

Phone was working perfectly fine this morning. Got out of class at noon and got on my phone. It starts going bizzerk. From noon till 6. Probably crashed and restarted like 20+ times. No joke. Installed appmonster and uninstalled the corp 4g app. Fixed. Haven't crashed yet.

Turned on gps. Crashed. Couldn't reboot. Had to pull the battery then rebooted. Gps works fine now. Turns on and off without any problems. The corp 4G was really screwing with my phone. Sense consistantly crashing. Phone locking up. Random reboots. Ugh frustrating. Seems fixed now.

I didn't need Appmonster to uninstall. The app is visible in the Applications > Manage Applications > All > Sprint Corp 4G [or something similar, since it's gone, I can't check for sure]. The uninstall updates button is functional and hitting that makes the thing go away and GPS widget work again.

Yeah I was looking around for it that way and couldn't find it. Probably masked under a different name. Oh well, appmonster doesn't hurt to install

This update removed my Calander Widget from my phone. No help from Atrix help. They had me reset my phone THREE times so far and all it did was make download all my apps again and resync my phone to my vehicles...three time. Anybody else have this problem? Can you tell where I can download that widget again...or can I even do that?

I don't have time at the moment to search the thread, so I apologize if it's been mentioned, but you can just scroll to "Sprint corp 4G" under settings>applications>manage applications>all and uninstall updates.

also after the update sometimes when you click power buttom then reset the phone turns off then on but stays on the start up sprint screen for ever until you pull the battery also when exchanging batteries i turn off completely the phone then replace the battery but then sometimes the sprint logo it wont go away so i need tto pull and then put it back and i noticed that on an evo 3d that i returned to sprint and the one that i have all happening after last update

I have had no problems since the update....until today when suddenly the GPS widget stopped working!! It's worked fine since the update, tested it multiple times, why suddenly today it failed u do not understand.

Deleting the corp 4G widget fixed it. Thanks everyone!!
