*UPDATE 3: FIX+NOTE!! New Bug after HTC EVO 3D august/26 update!

Re: New Bug after HTC EVO 3D august/26 update!!!!

After the update my GPS widget causes the phone to reboot as well, although turning it on in the Quick Settings Tab works fine.

Re: New Bug after HTC EVO 3D august/26 update!!!!

Just tried out the GPS widget and it does cause a reboot, but not a full reboot. The HTC screen shows up and it is like it is just refreshing the final loading stages. I guess we will have another update soon. I usually use the Quick Settings anyways.

Ok so around 3/8 people that posted here don't have this issue, while the rest do....mmmmmm there must be something in common with the phones that have the issue.

factory reset solved everything. yes, it does reset the updates/firmware to when you get it in the begining.

sorry for the hijack, just wanted you all to know what happened.

Ok so i was looking around and found that the mobile network toggle widget from HTC shown in this pic: (the ones that say mobile)

aren't working!!!! I always turn off internet when I'm not using it, but at least the toggle found in the quick settings on the notification bar works. Now not just the GPS widget, but also the mobile network widget!!! Come on HTC!!!!

Re: New Bug after HTC EVO 3D august/26 update!

I have fully updated my EVO since yesterday morning and its all fine.

I can turn the GPS on and off (Using the HTC widget) and it works perfectly, no bugs.

Re: New Bug after HTC EVO 3D august/26 update!

my widget icon is on but it seems it only uses gps as needed per the actual program... using facebook through sense - when wanting to post location it turns on... when i come off it to the main home screen of the phone it turns off... try it... Could I be right?

Re: New Bug after HTC EVO 3D august/26 update!

mine gps widget was working fine until i updated the htc watch app. after that is stopped. i did a factory reset and updated everything but the watch app and its still working fine

Re: New Bug after HTC EVO 3D august/26 update!

I just checked mine cus I keep my GPS off to save my battery and it does have a bug, it shuts down my Sense every time, I can turn on or off thru Settings though.

So by the looks of it the HTC watch app is the one causing this....

Yes, you are right...now to clarify to everybody the only problem with that widget(the GPS one) is when one tries to turn it on or off. If the GPS is on the widget will show that its on and viceversa...

Re: New Bug after HTC EVO 3D august/26 update!

According to my task manager, I only have 165 mb of memory even though nothing's running. My Yahoo! Mail won't work either. Anyone else having this problem?

YEP, my phone crashes and reboots as well when I try to turn gps on or off with the widget.

Re: New Bug after HTC EVO 3D august/26 update!

I am having no problems with the GPS widget or Google googles. I will play around and see if anything triggers a reboot.

Looks like only around half the people are having this issue. Could be a conflict of some sort....
