update added app tab to open dual progams on single screen - now on left side of screen i have a tab that sits there and i want it removed. it is taking up too much room and this is stock phone.

Turn it off on the notification bar.

Wow...I was just asking about that in another thread...So, I just turn it on in the Notification screen if I want to have it available...OK.
