Update and Nova gestures screen lock issue

Just got the new update. Wondering if anyone has any ideas on the following:

  • My S10+ does have a security certificate from my office which requires a 4 digit pin. I rarely if ever needed it unless I rebooted the phone or my biometrics locks were acting funky and I tried them a few too many times or something.
  • I had configured Nova gestures to shut off/lock the screen with a double tap of the screen. Easy to turn back on with face or fingerprints. Now, the same double tap locks the phone requiring the 4 digit pin to unlock. Real Hassell. The nova options only list lock screen as a gesture option, so I don't see anything different I can do there.
  • If I kill the screen with the power button, I am able to unlock using fingerprints and facial recog like always.

I use my phone way too much for work so getting rid of my office accounts / certificate is just not an option. I suspect I just need to deal with it but any inputs appreciated.

If the new update is Android 11 there is a new option under gestures in settings to double tap to lock. Turn the gesture off in Nova and activate it in Samsung settings instead. Then you can use your fingerprint to unlock the phone.

So helpful. Thanks. Never knew that was there. Unfortunately Nova running disables that gesture. Works great with Nova disabled.

Which option do you have selected in Nova settings - advanced - screen lock method? Try with Accessibility.

Now I'm flummoxed. Just got the 3.0 for my S10 and the double tap took a dive.
I was using the nova double tap option with the screen off option. Now when I do it I'm taken to the"accessibility" and get a pill saying "select nova" with no indication as to which sub to follow. No customary flash option. I have attempted to use the native samsung option but that gets nothing on nova but works on Samsung's launcher which I don't use.

Any help is appreciated.

Got it working. I have no clue how. Ugh
After the 3.0 update most users had the same problem, the custom launcher doesn't "stick" as default. After a few tries and some time it finally works fine. Same problem in other brands after updating to Android 11.

This was my experience in addition to the double tap problem. I just assumed I tripped over the fix while working the double tap option.

I noticed that my lock screen clock does not stay the way I've got it set. It reverts back to the text style clock. We'll see if it sticks now.
