Update for the Sprint Note 3 adds WiFi Calling

4 calls to sprint and its still not working. Evidently they are having issues with the network (they tell me it's because they have been activating so many S5's). I have done about 6 battery pulls and restarted it multiple times. This sucks cause I am leaving for London in like 2 hours and I was hoping to be able to call home over WiFi.

You've already gone to London but I don't think it will work to call home over Wi-Fi anyway. According to this https://community.sprint.com/baw/co...lling--expanding-voice-and-messaging-coverage

"All domestic calling and messaging is FREE (standard CDMA international rates apply for international calls)" I read that to mean that Wi-Fi calls are only free from and to the US. Am I wrong?

I talked to a sprint two about that and they said that it shouldn't matter cause its WiFi.

But you must, IIRC, be in a Sprint serviced area to authorize the WiFi calling.

If that's true that sucks! T-Mobile's wifi calling allows free calls back to the states when on the wifi calling feature.

Has anyone used or tried to use Wi-Fi calling from out of the country? Hopefully King Ginger got it working and will let us know if he was able to use it in London and if he was charged extra for it. I use Skype over Wi-Fi when I'm out of the country. At a couple cents a minute, it is quite reasonable. Of course free is always better.

Has anyone noticed vastly increased battery drain since adding this?

I have noticed a slightly increased battery drain at times, but that probably depends on the strength of the wifi signal.
