Lost text messages in the car since update this morning

Unless you set up your device to save your messages, they will be deleted.

Sorry, what I meant is that texts no longer show up on the navigation screen when they are received in the phone. Was working prior to the update and calls still come through.

What kind of car?

I've read threads about this before and the general consensus is to delete the partnership between the phone and car, then re establish it.

Same thing happened on my wife's Lexus. Also, too many text messages stored on the phone can cause the same problem if you have a Lexus.

Yep, an Avalon. While troubleshooting the interface after deleting and reinstalling the phone I noticed the car can only store 1000 messages. Time to clean out the 17000+ messages on my phone. Thanks
