And I have heard 2 separate things: coming in 2.1, or not coming at all because it's a security risk.

I haven't heard anything in a long while, but I do recall documents leaked from VZW months ago (shortly after initial release) that listed this as a known issue to be corrected in an early update. Could they change their minds? Sure. At least it is/was acknowledged though.

I cannot find the article/post/whatever from Google saying they blocked it for security concerns, but I swear I read that somewhere. Must be the pain killers screwing with me...
