Update your roaming (PRL, *228)

I haven't seen anything on this yet...so maybe it'll help some folks out.

Since we can't dial *228 and hit option 2 to update our roaming capabilities, it seems that functionality is found elsewhere in the Xoom.

Try under Settings, go to Wireless & networks, then Mobile networks then click Activate device.

My PRL was originally 52207 and is now 52254 after the update. Check your PRL by going to Settings, About tablet, Status, PRL Version.

And it seems PRLs must be device specific. My X just updated to 52280, but the Xoom is on 52254.

I have 3G on my Xoom and never even thought to try to update the roaming list, so thanks for sharing this. Of course, I haven't checked the box to enable data while roaming, but if ever I did want to, now I know how to update the list.
