The reason it's failing is that you are trying to skip MA6. Updates are incremental. Which means you must be on ma6 before updating to mb1. The only way you can jump an update is by flashing the full ROM. Which is why I asked you, why you didn't just go that route in the first place?

My suggestion to you would be reroot and just flash the mb1 firmware and full mb1 ROM I posted.

kinda new at it . But ill give it a shot. again thanks for all your advice. its a learning process. phone sayas on pblj7

I thought if I reset my counter then went back to stock it would automatically update by itself like last time.

It still might. Have you received the update notification yet? But the point I was trying to make is why go back to stock and wait on two ota's when you could have simply flashed the the one ROM and be done with it.

Ota's, believe it or not, have a higher percentage of a chance to cause issues. Because you have no control on how it is downloaded. You could be on a bad or poor data connection when it's pushed to your phone. By doing the update manually, you can control what type of connection you use to download to your computer or phone.

I also feel the the success rate is higher when flashing the entire ROM. The update just loads a patch. I feel safer loading one complete ROM than a patch that gets pieced together.

Ok. So reroot then download on my phone then flash?

Or download to your computer (which is more reliable) and then copy to your phone. But you get the idea. Just follow the instructions in the post and you will be fine.

Re: UnRoot and Return to stock

when you unroot and all, will you be able to update and do everything like a root never happened?
