I hope your efforts are worthwhile. But, for some reason, I don't think that any of these PTB's could care less about what any of think even on matters like these.

So, what is the post going to hurt? Granted, it may not help anything either, but at least I'm trying. We are the customers and we have a right and a duty IMO to tell them what we want and how we want to spend OUR money with them. I don't have to pay them for devices and service if I so choose not to. Therefore, I am telling them as a customer that I would like to purchase the nexus and continue service through them, and I do not like the fact that not only are we still waiting to buy it, but we don't even have any idea when they will launch it besides "later this year". I am asking them to tell us something or for them to please launch the phone already. I'm not saying they have lied or misled us in anyway, I am expressing my disatisfaction. What is wrong with that?

There's nothing wrong with it other than its a waste of time. You don't know that the phone is ready. That's speculation based on the fact that the HSPA+ version is released which is a different phone as it has different hardware. Everyone is getting in a tizzy over nothing. I'm reading about several bugs on the UK version of the GN, and perhaps Verizon isn't interested in releasing a phone in a similar state. If you had it now, and it was buggy, you'd be ing about that too.

The more phones Verizon has available, the greater the potential for them to make money. They aren't holding up the release of this phone for no reason. There are a hundred reasons why the phone may not be ready for release, everyone knows this, but they don't want to admit it.

There's nothing wrong with it other than its a waste of time.

It's certainly no more a waste than spending 4 or 5 hours a day in this forum, refreshing the screen every 60 seconds to see the latest rumor. I'd go out on a limb and say that that it has a higher probability (though still admittedly low) of making something happen than complaining to everyone here about the lack of confirmed information.

I'm sorry but this is just funny to me. I love cell phones. I have such a passion for cell phones i usually upgrade every few months. But even i can admit you all are taking this way too seriously. It's one thing to be passionate about something and another to be obsessive to the point where you're literally writing letters to people in the company (who probably have no answers for you) basically demanding they hurry up and launch it. This...just stinks of apple fanboys

Because Google tests it - this is the beauty of Nexus. The only thing Google might need from Verizon is 4G troubleshooting, since this is Google's first phone with LTE. Same thing happened when the Nexus first got WiMAX, and Sprint technicians did network testing.

The complaint I have is that they have a phone that is ready to be sold, and they're not letting me buy it. I also believe they're adding their own app junk on it. I may be wrong, but there is nothing inappropriate about telling them that. If you don't feel this way, then don't tell them anything. I'm sure they'll be more than happy to do nothing for you.

In reality, no you have nothing to complain about. They have a phone ready to be sold? Who told you that? How do you know that? You don't in all reality. "I also believe they're adding their own app junk on it" Because you believe it doesn't make it true and in realty you have no basis to believe that, because you have no idea what is going on internally. Second if the phone is ready to be sold how can they be adding anything to it? Either it's ready or it isn't so which one?

Here is why it's pointless. Some random dude who knows nothing about running a multi billion dollar company is going to email the execs of said multi billion dolor company and tell them what is going on internally in their own company? Because you heard rumors on Android Central, Droid Life, and Twitter? If you asked that Exec why the phone is delayed he would say. "Delayed from what date, to what date" and you will go "Well from Nov 4th to Dec 8" and he would go "Who told you it was to launch on Nov 4th" What would you tell him then? Not saying don't be angry, or don't voice your opinion because you have that right, but as dude says you really have no legitimate reason to be upset with Verizon, because they made no, and broke no promises. Also, to loose you would not hurt them, because they would then gain someone who is not grandfathered in and make more money off of them. You're expendable.

So lets say at the last minute they decide not to sell it. Then what? Its happened before it can happen again. The 2 apps are not a big deal. Vzw still has to test the update before u get it. Its not going to come straight from google as most believe.

And it was google who said that there would be a nexus on Verizon but a mere 4 months later google said no nexus go buy the incredible instead. This could be happening all over again instead of google selling us the nexus they Google will just tell us to buy that renamed vzw nexus into galaxy2.

Verizon has a sign up sheet for it. So it has been announced. Steve Wozniak has one so we know it exists. Sending emails to execs can't hurt. It is uncertain whether or not it will expedite the process. I understand the frustration, and these boards exist to discuss these things. What I don't understand is why people read these boards and comment on them with the sole purpose to denegrate others who have ideas or concerns.
