I don't think they'll go on the warpath. I just think they'll disregard it unless it allows them to continue pissing themselves off in the same way that they're already pissing themselves off.

Who said I was talking about the nexus? There have been phones that where announced even branded vzw and shelved. And it was google who said that there would be a nexus on Verizon but a mere 4 months later google said no nexus go buy the incredible instead. This could be happening all over again instead of google selling us the nexus they Google will just tell us to buy that renamed vzw nexus into galaxy2.

So you're going to tell me that Verizon will can the launch after having AT LEAST 120,000 devices on hand, having accessories made up and shipped to all stores, after training all their employees for it, paying for it to be exclusive on vzw for a little and on top of all that breach whatever contracts they have with Google/Samsung? Lets be serious here, they have an insane amount of money tied up into this already and that's only from what we know. 120,000 Nexus' is around 80 million dollars at full retail. Granted they don't pay that much for them but that gives you an idea of how much they have into this just from buying the shipment of phones that we saw (and it was made clear the amount they have is more than that). Verizon has had the first 2.0 and 3.0 devices but will can the first 4.0? It's not going to happen.

I know for a fact the device is not ready. So the people who think it is ready are very wrong. In fact the testing for the latest OTA ended last night (Sat, the 19th) and failed testing. They will be starting another round of testing on Monday. I know a couple of people who test so I know my info is on point so I could not care less if people don't believe me. The earliest this phone will be released is the 8th. Take the info however you want. Don't expect it to be out anytime sooner than that though I will put my Nexus on it.

I was kinda bummed about a lack of info. on this. I follow a tester who drops 411 through an intermediary blogger when he has the time. I thought he wasn't involved in this round of soaks cuz he's been awfully quiet lately. I guess he's actually been a busy beaver. Either way, it's not the worst news in the world but disappointing nonetheless.

I thought it was pretty clear once the RAZR and Rezound got their release dates that the Nexus wasn't going to show up till December. Verizon wants to sell those phones for a little while before they drop the Nexus. Everyone who wants the Nexus just has to wait a little while. Should be worth it, right?

Are you the primary line? If so, wouldn't you have your last yearly upgrade anyway? If not, disregard. Option 3: did they magically negate the yearly upgrade allotted in the contract you (everyone) signed prior to January this year?

I mentioned that to her. I told her that it was my understanding that anyone who signed a contract prior to january 15th, 2011 had an upgrade after one year. She said that was not the case. She said they were not offering that anymore. It had me listed for an upgrade on 08/17/12. I told her that that was what vzw told before that. She apologized and said because of that and because of my frustration behind the nexus release, she would honor what they told me and moved my upgrade date to 12/17/11. Funny thing is, I just checked my upgrade date online about 20 minutes ago. It still says 08/17/12. *shrugs*
