Wow, well done getting your upgrade date moved up! I'll have to remember this when the next must-have thing is in the pipeline!
Just got a call from Verizon in response to the e's I sent. The guy wasn't really kind of rude. He told me over and over that the reason for the delay is because Verizon is not the manufacturer and they can't do anything until Samsung releases the device to them. When I asked about the testing Verizon is doing and that maybe the issue is Verizon's software on the device he just sort of talked in circles and then went on again about Samsung being the manufacturer and they haven't released the device to Verizon yet. He also told me no one nows when it will be released but they will send emails to those of us who signed up on their site for updates.
I'm not sure why they would have someone in customer service call me when it was quite obvious he was just ticked off at me about sending them an email in the first place! LOL now I suppose I should send e's off telling them how I feel about their customer service!!!
All of you guys who said those emails would do absolutely nothing, good call. *sarcasm*
I realize that this will probably do absolutely NO good at all,
Good call huh? It was the FIRST thing you mentioned yourself in the OP.
**UPDATE** I got a call from the executive offices of VZW today. And I, of course, was told that they were very sorry that they had no information regarding the Nexus at this time. She did more or less hint to me that it is still being tested. HOWEVER, after me telling her how frustrated I was, she went into my account and moved my upgrade date up 9 months. So I now am eligible for an upgrade in December![]()

I realize that this will probably do absolutely NO good at all, but I emailed every single person on this list. First, I told them how I do in fact love the network service that verizon provides but how extremely dissatisfied I am with how they are handling the launch of the Nexus. I told them how I thought the two vzw apps were contrary to the nature of a nexus and how I don't agree with the razr and rezound possibly causing this delay. I said I would break both of my contracts with them if they don't give us some info promptly. I think it would be more effective if others did the same thing. Here is the link that I stole from the other similar thread: Executive Leadership If you don't agree with this, I understand. If you think it will yield absolutely nothing, it's cool, don't email them. But, we do have a voice and I am choosing to use it. I'm sure I will get flamed in some kind of way for this but I don't care. I'm not trying to impress you guys. I am trying to rally all of us and combine our voices so that they might listen to us. Please consider sending an email to at least one person on this list. Thanks in advance
uh so you whined and had a hissy fit over a non existant issue and your upgraded was moved up.. you sir are a champion.

Lol, say what you want. I'm happy for now.
Meh
I'm not sure it's a "non-existent" issue. I know your on the "Verizon never announced a date" talking point hard, but the phone has been held back. We can speculate all day as to why, but Google/Samsung thought this phone would be out in early November.
Let me get this straight....
You are happy because they suckered you in to purchasing another 2yr contract (nexus) with them and giving them more money because you think they did something "special" for you? in fact, they have the ability to do that for EVERY customer because you give them the power.
You my friend, were just a victim of deference. You complained and threatened them about the nexus and how you were going to leave, they suckered you into ANOTHER 2 yr contract when they feel like releasing the device.
im sorry man, you so lost!

No, you're misinformed. My upgrade date was moved up. So now I'm eligible for an upgrade in December. But, I will not be using it on the nexus and I told her that. I will probably use it on either the SGSIII or the next nexus if VZW gets it.
Meh
So, I guess he should have refused?you missed my point, she just suckered you into ANOTHER 2yr contract by making you think she did something "special" for you. Let me give you an example.
You go to a restaurant and get TERRIBLE food, you complain, then the manager comes out and gives you a "free" complementary 1 meal. So, you then decide to COME BACK and spend MORE MONEY, because you bring a significant other, on the food you just thought was awful,. The coupon cost the company NOTHING and they still kept you spending money in their restaurant.
Verizon didnt do anything for you and got you to commit (from what it sounds like) for another 2 years.
The contracts are there for leverage, so that they can make sure to keep you there. the carriers dont make money off the phones, they make them off the plans. So, as long as you commit to a plan they are happy they can careless what phone you want.

what would happen if everyone in the world just STOPPED paying their morgage? you think banks could do anything? we have the power in most cases we are just too scared to leverage it.
