updated to froyo (EB13) and calendar doesnt sync

Keisham320, for what it is worth, I actually had to reset the phone to remove and re-enter my gmail account in order to get the calendar working again. After the reset, everything was fine.

If you do this, back up everything first - memos, text, voicemail & free apps, are all lost. Documents, pictures, and paid apps seemed to come back.

Thanks... I cleared my storage and it worked.

Now if only there was a way for the Facebook events I decline not to show up on my calendar. I don't want to make it so FB doesn't show up because I like to see my friend's birthdays on the calendar.
(this has always been an issue, it isn't new with Froyo)

does the "hide declined events" checkbox in settings (calendar >> menu >> settings) not hide them?

nope

...ooh... I maybe figured it out... I removed the event completely in facebook and it looks like it isn't showing up... phew!

my facebook events still arent showing on my calendar and i tried all solutions posted in this thread and others.

Q though, i noticed under "Account & sync" there are two Facebook accounts i can select, one under "Integrated contact accounts" and the other under "More Accounts"

Currently i have both sync'd but iirc only one of them allowed calendar sync, which i have checked. was i only supposed to have 1 of those two accounts sync'd?

*Finally got it to work! took off all FB accounts, cleared calendar and calendar storage data, reboot. only put in the integrated FB account and BAM worked. took it about 30 seconds to sync everything.

What i did originally which mightve messed it up was add in the FB app first then the integrated one.

Gmail Calendar Sync Still Doesn't Work!!

My calendar still isn't syncing after the froyo update.

I tried clearing the data and re-syncing, etc.

Now when I go to my calendar and try to choose what calendars I want to see, my gmail calenday doesn't even show up anymore even though my gmail and contacts are synced.

Does anyone have any new suggestions or cures for my woes?

Would logging out of my gmail account and logging back on work? and if so how do you do that?

Thanks for any help.

Did you clear data for both the calendar AND the calendar storage? I only did the calendar at first and it didn't work...

I cleared both and did the exact thing that everyone else said has worked and it still has not worked for me. I hate it because that is the only issue I am having.

Take it one step further and force close "calendar sync adapter" and clear data in calender storage and calender. That brought it right back after a restart.

google calander not syncing with new 2.2 update.

Guys,
Anyone know why my gmail account calendar is not syncing with my 2.2 froyo calendar?
Noticed it wasn't working after the update.
Tried eveything...
PLEASE HELP!

yes, go to settings/manage applications--select "Running" and Calendar Storage. Hit Clear data and Clear Cache and then attempt to resync your calendar 2,3 or 4 times. It should come back.

Go to Settings-- Applications-- Manage Applications-- All-- Calendar Storage-- Force Stop and Clear Data
Then go back into the calendar and resync the calendars you want.

Thanks, MBM7881.

For anyone who doesn't know how to clear the calendar storage, follow these steps:
1) Go to Settings
2) Select Applications
3) Select Manage applications
4) Select Calendar Storage from the All list
5) Select Clear Data

After that, try syncing your calendar again. It should work fine. As a side note, I'm pretty sure this method will delete any events saved in your local calendar, so use caution.

One would assume that clearing calendar data would result in a loss of all you events. So why the warning? Any possibility doing this will cause all the events in your Google Calendar to disappear after syncing for the first time?

Hello All,

I also had this problem after upgrading, & eventually goot a redplacement phone (sans Froyo)...but it didn't fix the problem. I think the update has modified my Google calendar account to cause this problem. I have done everything everyone else suggested without resolve.

Here are a few other things I've noticed.
1. Athough my calendar looks blank, I still receive reminders.
2. If I go to settings > calendars, my screen goes blank and I have to force close
3. I researched this problem in other forums and its not limited to the Epic, many Android phones and tablets are having this problem.

I hope there will be a fix soon, I'm lost without my calendar.

Tried all things suggested in this thread, but nothing worked. Last attempt to fix before hard reset: went to market and downloaded 'business calendar free' which also syncs to google. Had all my calendars listed in the app and as soon as it synced so did the native calendar. Only thing missing now is my birthdays from contacts and facebook - will update if I can find a fix for that! So glad to avoid the hard reset

I have read through all of the posts here in the thread and others and have tried clearing the data and the other fixes and nothing has helped. However I feel my problem is a little different the most of them here. My phone has no problem syncing calender events from google and putting them on my phone. My problem is the other way.

I'm very seldom near a computer when I need to enter an event. I enter my events on my phone but they never show up in my google calender on line. So my problem is my phone and google only sync one direction, on line to my phone but not my phone to on line.

Any help would be appreciated.

You have your option set to sync/save to your gmail account when your enter your calendar event? I would assume so, but many people have overlooked this in the past and left it set to save to phone/my calendar.
