updated to froyo (EB13) and calendar doesnt sync

You have your option set to sync/save to your gmail account when your enter your calendar event? I would assume so, but many people have overlooked this in the past and left it set to save to phone/my calendar.

Yes it is set for google.

OK I tried clearing the data again on all the calenders and now have a different problem. My phone no longer even shows a google calender. It only shows the phone calender. Yes I have synced it several times.

Ok... Two days have passed and I still can't recover my google calender. I guess it's time to hard reset my phone. Unless someone here has any ideas.

This post was for a specific problem with the EB13 firmware. Are you running this or EC05? Either way, if you don't mind wiping your phone, go for it. It may or may not fix your problem.

I have a bone stock EC05. I guess I am in the wrong thread but didn't really wanted to start a new one. I don't really want to reset my phone but my google calender disappeared after clearing data and hasn't returned. If someone has any ideas on how to get it back without resetting the phone I will try it.

So just to double-check, you've gone into settings--application--manage applications-- all-- calendar storage--clear data

then open up calendar and then click menu--settings--calendars (all your calendars should appear there, make sure they are checked). Then calendar sync. If not, try that first.

Let me start over. My original problem was my google calendar was syncing in one direction only. When I added an event to the google calendar using a browser it would sync and show up on my phone. When I added an event from my phone it would never update the calendar on the google site.

I tried to get it going by doing what you just said. I cleared the data in calendar storage. When I did this the google calendar disappeared from my phone. When I open the calendar and go to menu-settings-calendar the only calendar there is my calendar but no google calendar. When I go to choose default calendar the only calendar there is my calendar.

3rd times a charm.... I cleared data on the calendar storage several more times. The 3rd time did it.

Thanks...

I have a slightly different question-
My phone's Calendar Syncs fine but it wont pick up anything after May 2012. Is there a limit to how far ahead Android Syncs?
I ask because I have events going on in May and June 2012 that I put on the web but havent seent it on the phone yet...

Thanks, MBM7881.

For anyone who doesn't know how to clear the calendar storage, follow these steps:
1) Go to Settings
2) Select Applications
3) Select Manage applications
4) Select Calendar Storage from the All list
5) Select Clear Data

After that, try syncing your calendar again. It should work fine. As a side note, I'm pretty sure this method will delete any events saved in your local calendar, so use caution.

I tried this for my Epic 4G after gingerbread, and it didn't work. I know it has worked for many people, I'm not sure why it didn't work for me. It may have something to do with the Calendar Storage app having zero data (clear data is greyed out). Also tried clearing: Calendar app and Google Calendar Sync apps. None of it works. My phone calendar is basically empty.

If you are in the same situation, you may want to experiment with adding a new test event on the web and re-syncing. Now try the phone and re-sync. If the events sync correctly, then the following workaround will work:

Go to your google calendar on the web., My Calendar arrow, export calendars. All your events should now be sitting in a zip file. Extract. You should now have a folder containing a file for each of your calendars (I have 5). Click Import calendar, browse to the file for your calendar, select the corresponding file from the list, and click import. Click sync on the phone (I have an app for that, synker, or you can wait an hour or so), and voila, all your events get populated. As far as the web calendar is concerned, there are no duplicate events. Either the program is smart enough to realize the events are redundant, or things got just that messed up with the update. Regardless, you can't argue with the result.

Repeat the importing process for the remainder of your calendars, obviously importing the data on the hard drive to the corresponding calendars on the web. Sync again, and you're done.

Hope that helps.

Hi there djcovarubbias,
I read your post from Dec 17 about how you the "clear data" buttons were greyed out after gingerbread. Same thing happened to me. But the funny thing is that my calendar on my phone is fully populated, but data shows 0.00k. I am trying to clear data under calendar storage to clean up some sync problems I'm having (clearing data under calendar storage always works), but I can't clear data if button is greyed out. Any tips?
