My own phone line is not due for an upgrade. I need to use my brother's line in my same family plan to upgrade. I know this is possible through Verizon's own website. The Verizon website is easy to navigate and transfer that upgrade to another line.

Edit: My brother's line does not have a data plan.

Is transferring the upgrade possible on 3rd parties like Bestbuy store, amazonwireless, or wirefly? These stores usually offer $50-$100 cheaper than verizon's own website. I don't see this as an option when I went to their website. Otherwise I have to wait for a sale on Verizon's own website.

To be perfectly honest I don't think it will really matter. I mean it's not like the phone is going to be activated already. Once you get the phone you can activate on any line you wish, it just means that other line won't have an upgrade for another 2 years, but you can keep doing the same thing as long as you have at least one line that is eligible for an upgrade.

Im shure you can ive asked on the chat with a employe on the verisimilitude website and they told me I could but try sans club or costco they always have cheap phones

Yes, you can. I've done this in the past with AmazonWireless and BB. You just use the number that is eligible for an upgrade when you go through the purchase process. Then when you receive the phone, you just activate it with your own number.

I plan on doing this again with the GN.

Forgot to mention that my brother does not have a data plan. Verizon website let's me transfer without buying data plan for my brother.
