Don't know if these two are cause and effect or just coincidence, but immediately after I upgraded my Galaxy S9+ to version 10 on Verizon, my headphone jack ceased to function. All my BT headphones still work, and with 10 I can now stream to my hearing aids, which is cool. Is it possible the upgrade borked my headphone jack? I'm out of warranty, so my only option is to take to some repair shop and pay them to check the hardware. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks. :p

Yes, it was the official update, from Verizon I am assuming (dunno if Samsung pushes these out or it it's all left to the provider these days). Will try your suggestions and report back. Thanks!

Cleaned out the port and sure enough it works again. However, it turns out the earbuds I typically use are now, apparently, dead. Likely they were the problem all along, but I was sure I had tried my other pair as well. In any case, it's all good. Thanks again!
