Android Central Question

Hi,

I've never had this problem with my previous phones or this phone (2 years ago) up until this point, When im uploading a video, or a movie, i get this windows error/alert noise, and the upload doesn't complete, nor do i get an error note stating why the upload failed. Would appreciate some help ^.^

Well, for the record, it didn't really work. I've noticed it will allow me to transfer 1 song via USB to the Tablet (not the card) and then it stops working. I'm giving up on finding the solution and will simply send the files over via Bluetooth. Still appreciate everyone's efforts!

Hi!

Finally figured it out.

You need to enable USB debug mode.

Then it works like a charm.

Not for all files though, random sets of files are not transferrable

Files that are too large (or selecting a large [in total file size] set of files will cause the USB bridge to get hot and shut down long enough for the transfer to fail. USB isn't designed for huge file transfers.

Fix:
I was facing this same issue after resetting my phone (Samsung Galaxy S9). So here's what helped me:
1) Enable USB Debugging by going to Android Settings (you can google this for your phone).
2) changed the USB port to another one.
3) Enabled File Transfer Mode when USB connected.
Hope this helps.

The error dialogue box not showing is probably "Device is Unreachable."
The usual fix for this issue is:
1- Restart devices
2- On Android Enable USB-Debug on phone/Allow Data sharing. On iOS the usual fix is going to Settings>Photos>Transfer to MAC or PC(Last option)>Switch inbetween Automatic/Keep Originals.
3- If it used to work just fine. Switch the USB port you're plugging your Phone in (Most common fix)
4- Run a Device Scan with Admin CMD using the following command: "msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic" (This fix rarely works)

Had the same problem. I was trying to copy a folder full of mp3 files. In my case the issue turned out to be the name of this folder - it was too long. I just renamed the folder and all the files inside it copied without any problems.
